It is easy to enter the Lincolnshire Environmental Awards or the Young Environmentalist Awards.
All you need to do is write 200 - 300 words describing your project and how it contributes to the environment and sustainable development.
For projects based in Lincolnshire, North Lincolnshire and North-East Lincolnshire.
The Young Environmentalist Award is open to young people aged 16 years and under.
Judging The written entries will be assessed by a panel of judges which includes experts from around the county. Shortlisted entrants will be visited by a judge during May for a short discussion and tour as appropriate.
Finalists will be invited to present their entries on Thursday 8 July 2010 to the final judging panel led by Professor David Bellamy.
Judging for the Young Environmentalist starts immediately and the awards are given before the entrants leave. The awards in the adult section of the scheme will be presented at a gala dinner at the Bentley Hotel in Lincoln that evening.

Conditions of Entry
» There is no limit to the number of entries that may be submitted by each contestant. For judging purposes they will be treated as individual entries and not combined.
» For the initial stage of the competition entries must be handwritten or typed and for consistency of judging no additional documentation or material should be included. Entrants reaching the final stage may use whatever aids they wish to make their presentation.
» In all matters relating to the awards, the decision of the judges is final.
» Where individuals are nominated, the nominators will be requested to make the presentation to judges.
» To be eligible for the Young Environmentalist Award children must be aged 16 years or under on 8 July 2010.
